I love Sancai Parrots, which are antique earthenware parrots made in China and often used in temples to hold incense. Like the Staffordshire Dogs in our collection, I find it very amusing to draw statues and turn them into paper dolls. I tried drawing the parrots a few times, but was not happy with the results and so I let it rest. Then one night, it just happened very quickly, and for about a week, it was kind of parrot mania around here. My mother really enjoys them, and I find that to be a wonderful thing.
